Learn About Our Process

Our Process Fosters Creativity, Provides Accountability - and Delivers Results!

Design Phase

At Changes Interior Design, the start of a new project is always fun. We explore different styles, consider what’s “trending” and pour through brochures, magazines and websites to pull together a design concept which will inform every decision and selection to come. If desired, we can also render the project and/or use different visualization tools to start to see how different options will work together.

Planning & Estimate Phase

Once we have a design concept for your project and have made initial selections, we pull together all of the options and costs. We also gather bids from contractors and put together a schedule to manage every aspect of the project. We will re-work this plan as needed until you approve every selection, cost and contractor.

Performance Phase

Construction, installation of flooring, cabinets & counters, painting, delivery of furnishings, and hanging of art are all examples of tasks that fall in the performance phase. Understand that no matter what is required, we are involved in every aspect of the project. Our attention to detail during this phase is how we make certain that your project comes out as envisioned – and is delivered on schedule and on budget.

Owner, Changes Interior Design

About Michelle

Michelle Robertson is not your typical designer. As the owner of Changes Interior Design, she brings a depth of experience gained from over 20 years leading complex commercial and residential design projects. She has the ability to collaborate, and then lead a creative design process that includes the best input of everyone involved. She can access her own network of vetted contractors and craftsmen if needed, and she has the credibility to manage every project detail with each member of the team.

Michelle has a degree in Interior Design and worked her entire career in the Phoenix area. She is a master of the “Southwest Style” but she also works with many different design concepts. She is known as a savvy and frugal shopper for her clients – and she does most of her best work shopping at mainstream retail stores for furnishings and accessories.
